IR thermography is used to determine moisture presence in the walls of historic buildings. Wet zones appear differently on the IR images depending on the surrounding climatic conditions. Environmental temperature, relative balance and wind speed play a major role in the causes of damages in buildings. Especially the determination of the evaporation rate of water content within the wall is important. Case studies are mainly carried out on the church of Guardia di Sotto in Corsico, a seventeenth century building. /Spara och bevara
