Abstract

The diversity of the buildings in care of the Bavarian Palace Department in location, building structure, history, use and state of modernization influencing the indoor climate is very wide. Preventive conservation starts to play a significant role and has become a “cross-over discipline” concerning various sections within the Palace Department. Three examples of the Preventive Conservation in the Palace Department show real-life problems and illustrate the team work among the various professional disciplines in solving them.
