Abstract

In this paper, coupled heat and moisture transport in building envelopes with interior thermal insulation systems on the mineral wool basis including water vapor retarder is simulated using the computer code DELPHIN 4.1. Temperature, relative humidity and overhygroscopic moisture fields are calculated for the time period of several years. The proper hygrothermal performance of the systems with chosen type of mineral wool insulation boards is achieved by controlling the value of water vapor diffusion resistance factor p, of the retarder for various materials of the load bearing structures.
