Abstract

Monitoring of temperature and relative humidity in a building can be a powerful diagnostic tool. Monitoring is the factual record of feedback conditions both past and present. From this data, the environmental behavior of buildings and their climate control (HVAC) systems can be analyzed. To best perform this analysis, it is necessary to first separate the building's behavior from its HVAC systems. This is accomplished by shutting systems off for a period of time, or by comparison to other similar buildings.
