Abstract

The guidance provides an integrated approach to dealing with the challenges and opportunities of improving the environmental performance of buildings in the context of historic city centre communities. It addresses the various issues associated with retrofitting historic buildings to improve environmental performance, through four stages: Case studies,the elemental approach, guidance by building typology, community based interventions.
